ULTRAMON: Do you have more than one monitor hooked
up on your PC? Do you find yourself laboriously dragging open
program windows from one screen to the other's? Quickly move windows
between monitors or maximize a window to the desktop using the
additional window buttons added by UltraMon. Would you like more control
over screen savers, wallpapers, etc on each monitor?, would you like to
be able save the icon positions of what's current placed on those
monitor desktops and have separate taskbars for each one? Use more than
10 monitors, mirroring, etc. You can do this and more with one of Doc's
favorite tools called Ultramon by Realtime Software, it's small quick
and efficient. Click below and find out more about this great
utility. Visit the
Ultramon portion of our
Miscellaneous Software's and Applications section
on our
Main Links Page for more information.

Windows Desktop Icon Position Manager (Layout.dll): Did you ever want to save the
positions of your desktop icons because either someone else, some
program, or a screen resolution change has moved them around (Grrrr!)? Well
guess what Microsoft has a tool around you might not have known
about, it's small quick little utility add-on that allows you
beforehand to save those icon positions just incase of such an
event. Microsoft's Layout.dll (free) file, which is included
in the Windows NT Resource Kit, can be installed on Windows 2000 and
XP systems. This utility adds the 'Save Desktop Icon Layout' and
'Restore Desktop Icon Layout' options to the right-click context
pop-up menus associated with system icons like the Recycle Bin and
My Computer found on most desktops. It's a bare-bones solution that
lacks the useful frills found in such products as EzDesk, but it
gets the job done.
Click below and find out more about this utility (Win-2000, XP, and
Vista - 32-bit and 64-bit versions available). Visit the
Layout.dll portion of our
Miscellaneous Software's and Applications
section on our
Main Links Page for more information.

Digital TV:
What does DTV stand for? (Deep Vein Thrombosis), no at least not in this case, it
stands for Digital TV. The big switch already started happening in the
U.S. Beginning on June 11th 2009, most television stations, networks,
cable providers, and satellite system carriers already completed the
switchover and started broadcasting in DTV format. Over the next 3-Years
those still left on analog services (e.g Cable, and Satellite)
will gradually notice more and more channels disappearing from their
channel lineup, get the facts on DTV (Digital TV) and DCR (Digital Cable
Ready) equipment. Visit the
Digital TV section
on either the
Main Links Page
or the Entertainment Page for more information.
